Personification

Walt: Understand the concept of personification.
Success Criteria: Give 2 examples of personification from Fog or Two Sunflowers Move in a Yellow Room.

Personification: Giving human traits to non-human or abstract things, or making a non-human thing do things that only a human can do.

Poem by William Blake - who gives sunflowers human characteristics.

Fog by Carl Sandberg - highlights personification: giving human traits to non-human or abstract things. Or making a non-human thing do things that only a human can do.

In your literacy books brainstorm a list of weather types or effects e.g snow, frost, rainbow, hail sunshine.
Then write short sentences which personify those weather effects.

Choose your favorite 2 to post as a comment on this blog.

Finally in your literacy books comment on whether you have achieved todays WALT -
